PAS – The Key to Sales Copy & Selling

When you are writing copy or delivering a message to prospects there is an easy way to elicit more positive responses from them providing you know your PAS!

PAS is a basic three step process proven to generate some of the most successful businesses in the world today just through positioning.

You see it's like this.

In your messaging you need to:

1. Present the problem

2. Agitate the problem so your prospect recognises and feels the pain

3. Solve the problem for them with your solution

If the problem was bad enough they would have fixed it already.

If your solution was so perfect for them, they would have already bought it.

Too many businesses present the solution but don't ensure that the prospect can connect the solution with the problem.

And even if they do connect them, the problem is not magnified in the marketing so the prospect just thinks, "oh well" and moves on.

So make sure that when you are presenting your offer you think about the PAS and ensure that you make the prospect really feel the pain, the need for a solution and the alignment of your product or service with their desired outcome.
