I decided last week that I needed to step away from things.
To clear my head.
You see, there is a lot going on here at the moment...
- One client is about to buy another business and we are helping them secure it for the right price and support them with their due diligence
- We have just finished supporting another with panel interviews as they look to appoint a new Managing Director, allowing the business owner to step back and do other things
- We are advising another on setting up a franchise for their business so they go from being a local company to a national one - within the next six months
- A new client has come to us with financial issues that means if things don't change quickly he won't be around this time next year
- Another has just been shortlisted for an industry award and needs to optimise the "noise" about it now - irrespective if they win or not
- And a brand new client has just generated £6k from a 45-minute webinar (and will go from zero to £300k a year within the next few months) - with no financial control in the business - we are helping with that too!
- And we are putting the final touches on something that we will launch in the coming weeks - something we are really excited about
I don't say this for effect - just that it doesn't matter what business you are in - if you are good, you will be busy.
And you need to clear your head sometimes.
Going slower to go faster.
So this is where I spent last Friday morning.
Wells-Next-The-Sea.
Norfolk.
Just me and the dog.

5 miles of fresh air, sand and the cold(ish) North Sea.
Then a couple of dog biscuits and what seemed like a gallon of water (the dog), and a coffee (mine) - and I was back on it.
So what are you going to do to clear the head and get things done?
Speak soon,
James
