The Formula for Email Success…perhaps

It always makes me laugh when a client tells me that no-one is buying from the emails that they send to their list...

It is like there is a given right that if we send an email to an audience - some of them will raise their hand and invest in whatever they were being offered.

You see success with email marketing isn't like that at all.

If you have read the emails we have sent to you over the last year or so, you will know that we have never sent you an email that was anything other than "value-driven."

We have never sent you a "buy our stuff" email.

And that is a conscious decision.

You see we know that for most businesses the way to sell via emails is to offer value over and over again, before occasionally asking for the sale.

Typically, and this is somewhat industry dependent, we know that the best plan is to send 5-6 emails that offer value, with no request to buy anything, before then presenting the offer.

It is all about adding "credit to the bank" before withdrawing on that credit with your email list.

Once you ask, then you need to "top up the bank" again.

And the cycle repeats itself.

So there we go - if you are sending "buy now" offer emails every week.

Stop it.

Send value.

Help people.

Do this, and then when you do ask for something they may well surprise you by saying yes.

Speak soon!
