By the time you read this, the budget will be about ten days old....

But I guess you are still hearing the noise that the Chancellor's speech has made to business owners and the wider general public's lives...

Well, what are you going to do about it?

You see, it doesn't matter one jot what you or I actually think about the decisions made in the locked rooms of the cabinet.

No-one current or past really asked business owners what they would do...and then did what they said.

The powers that be just reviewed what data they had in front of them, and then using their own political persuasion, chartered their own course forward for the country.

But it doesn't matter.

We can't change it.

We can moan.

But no-one will listen.

What is important is that we control what is within our control.

Yes, costs will have gone up.

Workers rights may have changed more in favour of the individual.

But that is the hand we have been dealt.

We can whinge and moan about it - but have to deal with it anyway.

Or we can decide to play the cards we have been handed and make something out of it.

I am personally sick of the bellyaching from the press, experts and even my own family members (don't tell them I said this though!).

So think about what you need to do to maintain the great business you have.

Stop listening to the noise.

Take back control.

You have a great business.
