I’m Soooo Excited….

Quick email this week as right now, both William and I are on our way to a venue in the lovely Lincolnshire countryside to film some videos...

We are putting the final touches to something that is going to be amazing for business owners just like you who want to grow but are struggling to find out the things that really "move the needle."

Now for those of you that know me - you'll know that I am not afraid to be in front of the camera - my mum used to say that I had the "look at me" gene!!

And I realised very early on that the power of video in your content marketing is vital.

We all know that people buy from people and it is also true that no "company" has ever bought anything (it is always a person in the end that "pushes the button") and that is why video is so key in any business today.

It shows authenticity.

It builds trust.

It allows a message to be transferred via two media (at least) - aural and visual.

(Note: also, there are still very few businesses in most sectors doing it, so if you start now, you will be offering a point of difference to your prospects!!)

But what if I am no good at it or don't want to be on camera?

You won't know until you try. And my advice would be to record yourself on your own phone first, just for your own records - remember your first video will probably be the worst.

I'm also assuming that you have video calls with people, or did have during the pandemic, so if you have used Zoom in the past five years, you've already been on camera.

But what if people don't like what I say?

Well, maybe they are not your people.

You see every week we send these little notes out to around 10,000 business owners.

Every week, we get around 15-20 unsubscribe.

And that's fine. They don't like what we share, don't see a value in it, or just get too many general emails.

But for the 9,975 others - we are helping them.

So make it your mission this week to at least record one video and start to think how you can use video in your marketing and your customers communication.

Give it a go!

Speak soon,

James
