There is an old saying about hiding your light under a bushel - or something like that - I remember my dear old dad telling me when I was a lot younger - and it basically means not telling people about your strengths and shying away from the "razzamatazz" of publicity.
And for many business owners we naturally do this for a number of reasons:
1 - We don't think what we do, or how we do it is of much importance to others.
2 - We don't really think what we do is that great (it's just what we do)
3 - It's a little bit cheesy and salesy
4 - We aren't comfortable with self promotion
And that is why we don't "spread the love" that we get from those we work with and support.
So I want you to think differently.
I want you to throw off that cloak of invisibility and start to share the power of the things you do, and what people say about you and share with the world, the things that you really deliver for your business and your customers.
Is that a deal?
Because the power of doing this might just lead to another new prospect deciding to use your business - to spend that little bt more, or even refer you to another opportunity.
So let me start with mine from this week - and it's a simple one.
We are working with a food importer into the UK and this was his comment (verbatim) in LinkedIn this week:
"Hola James, thanks for todays call, 10 minutes with you changed my day!"
So start to share with your prospects and customers, the "light under your bushel" - what have you got to lose?
Speak soon,
James
